And then he went further, saying he's also ready to hit another 267 billion worth of imports right after.

The Trump administration may be about to slap tariffs of up to 25 percent on an additional $200 billion in Chinese goods, escalating a confrontation between the world's two biggest economies and likely squeezing U.S. companies that import everything from handbags to bicycle tires. Trump's comments come after Apple expressed dissatisfaction over his administration's China tariffs. So far, he has imposed 25% tariffs on $50 billion worth of Chinese imports, while China has retaliated by doing the same on a like amount of USA exports to China.

But, they'd also be hit by the threatened 267 billion dollar list.

Thursday was the deadline to submit public comments about the proposed tariffs.

China has said it would be forced to retaliate to all of the U.S.'s tariff measures, fanning concerns that a deepening trade war could dent the global economic outlook.

According to a report in The Verge, Apple asked that the United States revise its proposal and decline to place tariffs on the product categories that cover these devices. The imports are equal to almost 40 percent of all the goods China sold the USA previous year. "Start building new plants now", the POTUS tweeted. Apple said "it is hard to see" how tariffs would advance the government's goal. The US products targeted by China include coal, copper scrap, fuel, buses and medical equipment.
