Russians accused of hacking Democrats in 2016 USA election

So minutes before Rosenstein could announce the news, Williams told the world the still-embargoed information: special counsel Robert S. Mueller III had filed new indictments charging 12 Russian intelligence officials with conspiring to hack the 2016 Democratic National Convention computers.

Among the many new details in today's indictment (PDF) of 12 Russian intelligence officers for cyberattacks meant to interfere with the United States presidential election in 2016, one in particular should stand out to techies: the defendants allegedly used Bitcoin to fund the operation.

Before Friday, 20 people and three companies had been charged in the Mueller investigation. They are accused of taking part in a hidden but powerful social media campaign to influence public opinions in America before the November 2016 elections.

Djokovic relegates Federer in Wimbledon quarter-final line-up
The prestigious Centre Court at the All England Club became witness to the iconic moment and Twitter went insane over the clip. That straight sets loss was the fifth-seeded del Potro's 10th defeat in 15 meetings against the former world number one.

The unfolding drama on both sides of the Atlantic reflected how Trump's presidency has been overshadowed by the Mueller probe from its earliest moments and how the investigation frequently tramples the President's attempts to carve out favorable headlines. The ministry says "obviously, the goal of this is to spoil the atmosphere" before Monday's summit between President Vladimir Putin and President Trump in Helsinki, Finland. Instead it focused on the fact that no Trump campaign officials or Americans were implicated in the new indictment.

"President Trump must be willing to confront Putin from a position of strength and demonstrate that there will be a serious price to pay for his ongoing aggression", Republican Senator John McCain said in a statement. "There is no debate that the Russians meddled in the election". Details describe efforts by "Guccifer" and other fronts to reach out to Americans, including one who prosecutors say was in regular contact with senior members of the presidential campaign of Donald Trump. He is investigating Moscow's interference in the election, and trying to determine whether Mr. Trump's campaign colluded with Russian Federation.

Mr Rosenstein said: "We know that the goal of the conspirators was to have an impact on the election". But with Mueller still investigating, it's not known whether further indictments are taking shape or will. Trump complained about the Russian Federation investigation hours before the indictment, saying the "stupidity" was making it "very hard to do something with Russian Federation". And they say that on the same day Trump said in a speech, "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing", Russian hackers tried for the first time to break into email accounts used by Clinton's personal office.

United States service member killed in Afghan 'insider attack'
The apparent insider attack occurred in a local airport in Tirin Kowt city, capital of southern Afghanistan's Uruzgan province. Afghan civilians increasingly found themselves in the crosshairs during an unusually intense period of fighting last winter.

After the indictments were announced, top Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer called on Trump to cancel his meeting with Putin until Russian Federation takes steps to prove it won't interfere in future elections. Pure stupidity. But it makes it very hard to do something with Russian Federation. "But I love getting along with Russian Federation and China and other countries".

Mr Trump said at a news conference on Friday near London with British Prime Minister Theresa May that he was not going into the meeting with Mr Putin with "high expectations".
