Donald Trump & Immigrant Child Featured On Time Magazine's Latest Cover

The Story Behind the Viral Photo of a Crying Child at the Border

An upcoming Time magazine cover will feature a photo illustration of President Donald Trump looking down and a crying toddler looking up, highlighting its story on the US immigration policy.

The accompanying story to the cover by Karl Vick, titled "A Reckoning After Trump's Border Separation Policy: What Kind of Country Are We?" describes the way that Trump is changing the perception of what America is, not just for Americans, but also for the world.

The iconic image was taken by Getty photographer John Moore, who captured the emotion of a two-year-old Honduran asylum seeker when she was separated from her family at the United States border with Mexico.

"This one was tough for me", Moore said.

First lady visits migrant children at Texas detention center
During her visit to the Upbringing New Hope Children's Shelter, Melania said 'I'm looking forward to meeting the children'. Much like her spontaneous trip, the statement on the back of her jacket was also a surprise-to say the least.

Yalena, of Honduras, cries as her mother is detained near the border on June 12 in McAllen, Texas. Moore further said that he really wanted to "pick the girl up" at that moment but he couldn't.

"Nine days later-her image having helped force a president's hand-she's on the cover of TIME". They were promptly apprehended by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and relocated to a processing centre.

"If they are deported, that is OK as long as they do not leave the child without her mother", Valera said.

Many expressed concern about the girl's fate, given the Trump's administration's enforcement of its zero tolerance policy separating children from parents facing prosecution for illegal border-crossing. "I took only a few photographs and was nearly overcome with emotion myself".

Once the factory is capable of that production figure, the CEO said Tesla can then begin producing the Model 3 short-range model . Tesla is dismissing more than 3,000 workers from its California headquarters and beyond, according to a report from Bloomberg.

Due to widespread backlash, Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday that will effectively put an end to his policy.

John Moore said he knew he was taking "an important image" when he captured a little girl in tears but that he "could never have expected that it would have had this level of impact".

"[The mother] was told to set the child down while she was searched".

Video footage of separated children sitting in cages, an audiotape of wailing children and Moore's photo had sparked worldwide anger over Trump's immigration policies. The Associated Press quoted the Border Patrol as saying that close to 200 people inside the facility were minors, unaccompanied by a parent.
