Musk Claims Tesla Employee Tried To Sabotage Automaker

Elon Musk reveals possible location of Tesla Gigafactory in Europe

In a separate email to staff, Mr Musk said there had been a small fire at a Tesla factory on Sunday. The findings are mixed about whether that leaves the company enough margin to sell the cars at $35,000 and still cover investments in future product, expand its Supercharger network, and accommodate increased production costs from the assembly line that now takes more manual labor than Musk originally planned.

The leaked emails come as Musk has been acting increasingly erratically, aggressively going after the media on Twitter, as well as investors who have been betting against Tesla.

"As you know, there are a long list of organizations that want Tesla to die", Musk continued.

Man United, Man City and Spurs have each been given an even split of three home and three away games on those match days. As for the Manchester derbies, they will be played on November 10 (at the Etihad) and March 16 (Old Trafford).

Tesla chief executive Elon Musk has accused an employee of carrying out "extensive and damaging sabotage" at the electric carmaker. These include Wall Street short-sellers, who have already lost billions of dollars and stand to lose a lot more.

The company is now in a race to ramp up its manufacturing of the mid-priced sedan - a process CEO Elon Musk has called "production hell" on more than one occasion. In the lawsuit, Tesla said the email was part of an oil-industry effort to undermine the company's push for energy-efficient transportation. The CEO also questions if "the multitude of big gas/diesel auto company competitors" were involved. He added: "If they're willing to cheat so much about emissions, maybe they're willing to cheat in other ways?"

"Could just be a random event, but as Andy Grove said, 'Only the paranoid survive, '" Musk wrote Monday, referring to the late chairman and CEO of Intel Corp.

Strong quakes hit Japan, killing at least 2, and Guatemala
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said authorities were assessing damage and that their top priority was the safety of residents. The agency originally put the magnitude at 5.9 but later raised it to 6.1.

For now, Musk asks employees to, "Please be extremely vigilant, particularly over the next few weeks as we ramp up the production rate to 5k/week". Tesla confirmed that message.

Musk thanked departing staff for their service, saying the company was "making this hard decision now so that we never have to do this again"; he also promised Tesla would "continue to flatten" its management structure. Once the factory is capable of that production figure, the CEO said Tesla can then begin producing the Model 3 short-range model.

Tesla is dismissing more than 3,000 workers from its California headquarters and beyond, according to a report from Bloomberg.
