It has received a full redesign including the addition of few new applications which are mentioned later in the article. Desktop stacks will act similarly, with files expanding out when the stack is clicked, albeit for groups of files on the desktop instead of in the dock.

2018, Apple announced a new version of the macOS operating system -version 10.14, codenamed Mojave. The second is Home, enabling Mac users to control their HomeKit accessories right from within their desktops.

Mojave will bring with it some radical new features that will let people use apps in new and innovative ways. This optional feature extends the theme across multiple macOS apps such as Mail, Messages, Maps, Calendar and Photos to make content stand out more than before.

On Safari, Apple is making it more hard for apps and data brokers to access users' personal data and track them. Here in, the system changes the desktop picture to match the duration of a day.

Apple is also implementing a new feature called stacks on the desktop. The best part though is that Stacks works automatically allowing users to customise their Stacks to sort based on file attributes like date, tags etc.

Other new features include parental controls to limit the time children spend in apps, as well as which apps they can use. With Measure , you can measure objects or walls around you thanks to some new augmented reality tools from Apple.

First of all, and most obviously Apple is finally implementing a dark mode on in this release.

Will My Mac Get macOS Mojave? Apple also updated Finder with a new Gallery view with large document previews above small thumbnails, reminiscent of the classic Cover Flow view. The Preview Pane now shows all of a file's metadata, making it easier to manage media assets. Users also have the option to build their own quick actions, such as adding a watermark to a photo, and add it to Finder.

Quick Look provides a fast, full-size preview of a file, allowing users to rotate and crop images, mark up PDFs and trim video and audio clips without ever opening an app. These apps are brought over using iOS frameworks adapted to macOS, developers will be able to take advantage of the framework starting in late 2019 to have their apps on iOS to be ported over to macOS, which will definitely increase the number of apps on macOS. It also looks like Apple News app, App Store on the macOS will get revamped.

New app additions to the macOS fold include Apple News, Home, Stocks and Voice Memos, which have all previously been featured on iOS. Pegged as "the world's most advanced desktop operating system", the latest version welcomes a new Dark Mode, Mac Apps, and Mac App Store.

The next version of MacOS, called Mojave, will include a redesigned App Store with more editorial curation, similar to the one that launched on iOS past year.

He was likely granted a temporary waiver to travel to NY , and further approval would be required to travel to Washington. Trump wrote in his letter last week that the talks would be "inappropriate" following the "hostility" from North Korea.

What new features can I expect with this update?

Other new categories are being planned by Apple under Work, Play, Develop and Create tabs that showcase featured apps. Last but not least, the Mac App Store is getting a redesign.

Apple is continuing with the popular tradition of naming the macOS after attractive landscapes. With a single app for all machines, Mac, iPad and iPhone users will get new features at the same time.
