NY Attorney General sues Harvey Weinstein, his company

Maria Contreras Sweet withdraws $500M offer to buy Weinstein Co

The New York Attorney General's office has filed a blistering civil rights lawsuit against the Weinstein Co. and its founders, detailing a company culture that routinely violated the state's human rights laws and business regulations. The suit alleges that the COO failed to protect the company's employees.

At the same time, the allegations helped catalyze a vast movement to root out sexual misconduct in Hollywood, Capitol Hill and other industries.

In court papers filed in Manhattan on Sunday, state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (SHNEYE'-dur-muhn) says the Weinstein Co.

Hong Kong bus overturns killing 18
Most of the passengers were horse racing fans, as the bus was travelling on a special route for horse racing days. The bus was operated by the Kowloon Motor Bus Company (KMB) - the largest franchise in Hong Kong.

Schneiderman said the sale was "imminent" and that it could go through without giving Weinstein victims a chance to be properly compensated. A second group of female employees at TWC was tasked with contacting Weinstein's sexual parters and ensuring there was space on his calendar for sexual activity, while a third group would follow up with prospective sexual conquests regarding Weinstein's employment promises.

The New York attorney general says that Robert Weinstein, who was aware of his brother's sexual misconduct, allowed Harvey to create a hostile work environment and engage in sexual misconduct, which he was responsible for preventing.

Mr Weinstein has been accused by several women, including actresses Selma Hayek, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Lupita Nyong'o, of sexual harassment.

Apple intern reportedly leaked iPhone source code
Now that it gathered attention, Apple filed a copyright takedown request to Github, forcing the site to take down the code. In summary, it is the program that loads iOS, and is the first program that runs when an iOS device is booted up.

Schneiderman's investigation reportedly discovered instances of Weinstein making death threats to workers while touting his connection to political influencers.

The attorney general's office said they also discovered that human resources at TWC was not empowered to take any action against Weinstein, and on one occasion one employee saw her compliant to HR directly forwarded to Weinstein.
