Man City coach Guardiola slams EPL festive schedule

Pep Guardiola names the reason Manchester City aren't Champions League favourites

The Argentina worldwide has been integral to City's unbeaten run thus far this season, scoring 13 goals in 17 appearances.

Sergio Aguero made it 3-0 midway through the second half, and there was a consolation goal for the small band of travelling Watford fans when Andre Gray netted eight minutes from time.

City beat Watford 6-0 and 5-0 in their two previous meetings and it threatened to be a similar thrashing from the moment Sterling hooked in from close range following Leroy Sane's fierce center across the face of the six-yard box.

There was a lack of flow to City's play for much of the match, with De Bruyne's passing unusually sloppy and Palace sometimes hurting the visitors with their direct style.

Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus were both forced off with injury during the match, but the club have learned the extent of the duo's injuries and they are not as bad as initially feared. Guardiola was not in the mood to celebrate as the Spaniard complained about the gruelling nature of the fixture schedule for English teams, who are asked to play a host of games in quick succession from late December until the new year.

State Department increases travel risk for states in Mexico
Tamaulipas has always been riven by turf wars between rival drug cartels, and Sinaloa is home to the cartel of the same name. Officials cite continued murder, kidnaping and carjacking related to gang activity as the primary reason for the warning.

"We are disappointed to have lost two players who will be out for a long period of time with cruciate knee ligament injuries", said Palace manager Roy Hodgson.

"We just need to focus on what we have to do, correct our mistakes from [the Palace draw] and keep going".

"You can see how essential David is to us but I don't know how long he will be here".

"Here in England, we don't protect the players and that is a big mistake".

'I think (injury) makes you appreciate it more. That has happened in the past with many other teams. They have to protect them and play with quality and not quality.

Magnitude 7.6 quake strikes off Central America
A massive 7.6 magnitude quake has occurred in the Caribbean Sea, north of Honduras. The northern coast that was closest to the epicenter is sparsely populated.

"I have the same feeling that before I came here and now when we dropped two points".

In pole position to win the Premier League, the Citizens also remain active in the Champions League and Carabao Cup and will kick off their FA Cup campaign in January.

"We have three or four days until the next game so we will see what Pep is going to do but for sure every player is going to be ready if he needs them to play", Fernandinho told reporters.

Guardiola said the issue has been of a family nature and he may have to miss more games because of it.

Terms 'agreed' for PSG star Lucas Moura
The Old Trafford faithful have not forgotten the choice the winger made, even if it was Sao Paolo's choice really. Manchester United will reportedly beat off interest from four clubs to sign Lucas Moura from PSG this month.
