Katie Nolan tests ESPN's new politics policy by calling President Trump stupid

Katie Nolan could be putting ESPN's new political policy to the test.

ESPN's Katie Nolan appeared on the best show on late night, Vice's Desus and Mero, on Wednesday. As Sporting News reports, one of the hosts claimed the "thumbs up" gesture is seen by some as advocating "white power". And the Emmy-winning Nolan, who joined ESPN from rival Fox Sports three months ago, was clearly having fun.

Quake hits San Francisco, shaking Berkeley awake
An natural disaster early Thursday sent Californians in the Bay Area scrambling - for their phones to post on Twitter. In fact, the 150th anniversary is coming up, we think that quake was a magnitude 6.8 or so,"Knudson said".

"We have looked into the totality of Nolan's comments, they were inappropriate and we have addressed it with her".

Desus said the thumbs-up is now associated with white supremacy because President Trump often uses it in photo-ops.

Apple's App Store Racks In Over $1 Billion During The Holidays

O'Neill also ripped ESPN boxing commentator Max Kellerman for declaring that the Houston Astros baseball team made a "grave error" in accepting a White House invitation. The first insult she used for him is bleeped out, but then she added that he is a "fucking stupid person".

ESPN has told its personalities to refrain from commenting publicly on political matters that have no relation to sports, and to be respectful when commenting.

Tesla Misses Model 3 Delivery Estimates for Q4
Tesla said it delivered 101,312 Model S and Model X vehicles in 2017, a 33 percent increase from the year before. Looking ahead, Munster believes that Tesla may be able to boost Model 3 production in 2018 to 150,000 units.

But Nolan's comments don't technically violate the social media guidelines since they were not delivered on social media. That policy stems from the controversy surrounding Jemele Hill, who called Trump a white supremacist on Twitter and was later suspended for discussing a boycott of the National Football League advertisers. Her new podcast for ESPN is expected to launch on January 10.
