It's a rough night for worldwide travelers at Miami global Airport.

The outage on Monday night affected airports including New York's JFK, San Francisco and Denver, as global travellers arrived from holiday travels on New Year's Day, reports CNN.

Kennedy Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport also acknowledged there could be passenger delays.

"No one has been getting past JFK Airport immigration for the last hour". All the airports involved are now back online, according to CBP, though some are still experiencing effects from the outage.
